November 11, [11:11] is a powerful day when the cosmic doorways are open.
Immerse yourself in Peruvian culture and unearth the ancient secrets of the Incas. Embark on an unforgettable expedition deep into the heart of the Amazon, Connect with the vibrant spirit of Peru and discover a world where anything is possible.
We begin our journey into the heart of Peru, November 2nd 2010.
Peru is an Andean country that needs almost no presentation: fascinating history, natural beauty and friendly people, it is blessed with a rich, ancient past and a vibrant present.
Peru is amongst the world's greatest centres of ancient civilisation. From the Lemurians onwards to the Sun-worshiping Incas, a land where ancient wisdom thrived for many thousands of years, before the arrival of the Spanish Conquistadors in the 16th century.
We explore the ancient sites of Peru's sacred valley, Machu Picchu and many more led by Sharman Inti Cesar Malasquez (pictured), seeking out various temples and sacred sites, and experience and participate in Sacred Ceremonies, connecting with Pachamama (Mother Earth), and be guided to find our inner peace and balance.
A summary of highlights you will experience on this magical journey:
Iquitos is the northern gateway to the Peruvian Amazon basin, which contains the most bio diverse areas in the world, with incredible vegetation, birdlife and wildlife. We embark on a magical jungle experience; imagine you visiting the exotic Amazon rainforest.... Along the world's mightiest river.... One of the world's greatest ecosystems.
Puno is a means of getting to Lake Titicaca on the borders of Peru and Bolivia, the highest navigable lake on the planet, tucked away high in the Andes between snow-peaks.
This is where Inca legends say life on Earth was first created. In the centre of the lake is the Island of the Sun, with an ancient, sacred temple. Nearby is Sillustani, where mysterious burial towers called
chulpas were once plated with gold and held the remains of Inca royalty.
A few miles away is the legendary Lemurian elder, Amaru Muru's Portal, a doorway-shaped niche in a stone outcropping, located in a region known as the Valley of the Spirits. The local villagers tell stories about people disappearing through the solid rock. We visit this very special place on November 11, [11:11].
Enjoy a unique opportunity of our optional excursion to the Island of Amantani, as we immerse ourselves in the local community and experience the joy and peace of the Peruvian culture and people. Visit the quaint floating reed Islands on Lake Titicaca and meet the native Uros Indians, who have inhabited the islands for decades.
Machu Picchu means "old peak", In the ancient language of the Incas, high in the cloud forest, the ruins of this former centre of worship and royal retreat sprawl across the landscape, an awesome display of staircases, carved tombs and sacred temples. These ruins which were rediscovered in 1911 are one of the most beautiful and enigmatic ancient sites in the world.
Sacred Valley is the area between Pisac and Ollantaytambo, Legend and mystery will now capture your imagination as you walk the cobblestone pathways of Ollantaytambo, the 'infallible' fortress of the Incas. The oldest inhabited town of the Incas, the fortress also served as a temple and ceremonial centre. The charming marketplace of Pisac is a veritable treasure trove of exquisite Peruvian handicrafts. Great souvenirs can be picked up here - antiques, weaves, ceramic necklaces and alpaca sweaters.
